Dexter’s insurance
The increase was more than expected but still represents reasonable value.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
Just to confirm, absolutely your policy will continue on from your previous policy and no, there will not be any waiting periods on your renewal policy. Any waiting periods will only apply to brand new policies that are starting for the first time. You will also have a 14 day cooling off period from your renewal date, in which you can cancel your policy with a full refund if you so wish.

I have now found the renewal advice. I don’t read emails from organisations I don’t know about. You never know if clicking on it would instal a virus. You should have sent the email under your known name, vetsmedicover, then I might have read it. The price has still increased by 12% with no valid reason.

Thank you for confirming you received your renewal notification. We did also send an update via email when we changed our name to all customers notifying them of the new brand along with communications around next steps. This was sent from the previously known email address we used before to avoid these getting filtered by customers email platforms. This would have been sent to you in early December 2024 explaining the name change and next steps before your renewal date.
With regards to your premium increase, there are various factors that go into our pricing including the breed of your pet, the age, the area in which you live and previous claims history. We have also seen the average price of veterinary care increase substantially over the years but we do try to remain as competitive as possible. All renewals are subject to a 14 day cooling off period in the event any customer remained dissatisfied.
