Thank you for your review. Our bare root strawberry plants are supposed to be despatched at this time of year as they need to become dormant before they are lifted from the nursery and despatched to our customers. If you place them in a pot of dry compost in a cold sheltered place such as a greenhouse, shed or garage. Do not water as this will freeze the soil. Once we have a thaw they can be happily planted out and will emerge from dormancy in the spring. Kind Regards, Amy
