Unfortunately we needed to cancel the 2230 from Southampton due to a burst hydraulic pipe. Unforeseen maintenance issues do happen from time to time which necessitate immediate works to be carried out. Whilst operating a two boat service during the Winter months, the only option we have is to cancel the last round trip on one of the vessels to give enough time to carry out the required works. We do have 3 ships but over the winter period we take each ship out and put it into dry dock for its annual refit. The problem with the ship in the morning was due to staff not a technical issue. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Red Funnel
