Unfortunately we needed to cancel the 2230 from Southampton due to a burst hydraulic pipe. Unforeseen maintenance issues do happen from time to time which necessitate immediate works to be carried out. Whilst operating a two boat service the only option we have is to cancel the last round trip on one of the vessels to give enough time to carry out the required works. Unfortunately you travelled on the quieter sailing we had to cancel to allow us to do the work. Red Funnel

Thank you for the feedback, I am glad to hear that the Captain tried to make your sailing as smooth as possible, it was some very trying weather. We do try to use the PA system on the car deck, but sometimes passengers do not hear the announcements due to engine noise and having car windows rolled up, I will pass your comments on to the Fleet Managers for review.
