I am sorry if you were not aware of the way in which this product is supplied. The growing instruction regarding the Australian Tree Fern are not on our website so I do apologise. I have copied below some information you may find useful. Plant Dicksonia Antarctica plants in reliably moist, rich fertile, preferably acid soil. Choose a damp sheltered position in dappled or semi shade. A woodland situation is ideal. Alternatively, plant Tree Ferns in containers of humus rich soil that can be moved outdoors in summer and returned to a greenhouse or conservatory over winter. Tree Ferns originate from the humid forests of Australia where they enjoy high levels of rainfall. When growing Tree Ferns it is recommended that the entire crown and stem be sprayed with water regularly, even after establishment. A liquid fertiliser can be applied in the same way from the second year after planting. During hot weather the trunk should be watered daily to maintain adequate moisture levels. Dicksonia Antarctica is hardy to -5C (23F). To protect it from particularly cold winter weather, pack the crown with straw and hold in place with chicken wire, in late autumn before tying up the fronds and wrapping the entire plant and stem with horticultural fleece, do not use bubble wrap as this will keep the plant too damp and may rot it. Unwrap it once or twice throughout winter to turn the straw and discourage mould.
