Unfortunately your removals company did NOT give very explicit instructions where to leave the delivery until after the order had been processed. Equally, when you reinforced this to us with an email, replying, by the way, to the order confirmation email within which the product you had ordered were listed, where there was no mention of any tape or wrapping paper, I made it very clear that we could not guarantee that the driver would leave the delivery without a signature, especially as the order had already been processed and left our warehouse. Your email to us also made it very clear how important it was that you received the boxes that day. A point we made clear to the courier. Within your very explicit instructions, though, you did NOT tell us NOT to leave it with your neighbour. A point that may have been worth pointing out if it was the last thing you wanted. I wonder whether it would have been more annoying if you had not received delivery that day? I'm certain, though, we would still have got a negative review! Finally, as you are fortunate enough to live less than 5 miles from my home address, did I not offer to personally drive to your address that evening and help you lug the boxes across from your neighbour's house to rectify the issue?! If I sound annoyed, it's because I am! Sometimes you just can't win :-(

Firstly, thank you for your considered response and apologies, in advance, for the lengthy reply. I completely understand your frustration with the courier; there's no excuse for poor communication. Unfortunately, though, at the moment, they are the only courier that will take our oversize parcels without applying punitive charges. Whilst it will be little consolation to you, under the circumstances, they are getting better. Nevertheless, your comments will help us in our eternal quest to either find an economical alternative or turn Yodel into the perfect partner. Good luck with the rest of your move :-)

Well, this is a first. Normally, I find myself apologising because we've not delivered fast enough but here I'm apologising for delivering too quickly! In way of explanation, we use a courier to deliver and they collect from us every day (Mon/Fri). They usually then deliver to our customers the next working day. Sometimes, though, if there's room on the van, and in order to get ahead, orders collected on a Friday are delivered on the Saturday. For most people this would be a bonus but I guess for some it will be inconvenient. Sorry.
