Many thanks for your feedback. We are appointed by Kia to handle claims on their behalf. I apologise that you were not kept up to date with the progress of your claim - this is not the normal level of service we provide and it will be addressed with the file handler.
In terms of the courtesy car, the industry as a whole is suffering greatly following Covid and Brexit and is now faced with a shortage of supply of new cars, and subsequently courtesy cars, which are at low levels across all bodyshops within the UK. In addition, the UK bodyshop industry is experiencing further difficulties with parts delays, which has a knock-on effect on the turnaround/completion of vehicles and subsequently capacity within the bodyshops. We are all working very hard during what can only be classed as unprecedented times, never known within the industry previously.
The bodyshop should have provided insurance on the courtesy car so, if you incurred costs for temporary cover, please submit your receipts and we will be more than happy to reimburse these.
Once again, please accept our apologies during this particularly difficult time.
