So sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your Flying Scotsman Turtle Mat but thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. As Turtle Mats are made from cotton there can initially be some slight shedding from the mats but this usually settles after a few washes and giving it a good vacuum. This should also help provide the mat with a less shabby/flattened appearance as the cotton tufts fluff up after washing - although avoid fabric softener as this reduces absorbency. If however the problem persists after this, I would suggest getting in contact directly with me via info@turtlemat.co.uk so we can ascertain whether the mat is faulty and to organise a replacement accordingly.
