The scoby arrived on time, we followed instructions, it was ok on day 3 but the scoby was covered in mould by day 7.
I emailed happy kombucha and tried to ring but no response.

I am so sorry if you have found it difficult to get in touch, i have just checked on our system and it is showing that we replied to your email immediately with an auto email giving general information and advice and followed that up within 1 business day (apologies our customer service dept is not open over the weekends) with a full reply offering help and to replace the scoby. We would have called you to resolve but we do not have a telephone number for you on the order.
Our phone line is open Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm again we are closed at weekends (i think this is when you may have tried to call) we are a small family run company so it is not possible to run a 24 hour help line.
We can be contacted via phone, email, Facebook and Instagram.
We do encourage customers to call where they can as it is usually the quickest and easiest way to resolve issues.
In regards to the scoby, it sounds like it was yeast chains (normal by product of fermentation) but these things can happen and we will always replace the culture.

Again apologies for any issues however it is not true to say that you had no contact. We contacted you within 1 business day of your message and offered help but you had already binned the culture, we then offered to replace it for you. These are live cultures and they can do some strange things but we are always happy to replace cultures.
