the water kefir can create yeast chains in the warmer weather and that does look like white fothy slime on top. This is normal however and not a sign of problems. It is more common in the warmer weather as this makes the yeasts more active. It can look unpleasant but they are harmless and normal.If you are having any issues with your grains give us a call as we are always happy to offer advice or replace cultures where necessary. The water kefir is the most temperature sensitive of the kefir's so this can make them trickier but if you give our team a call on 01323 730091 they can help with that.

I got excellent help when I telephoned and as the water Kefir are so tempeprature sensitive and the hot weather spell we has inhibited their funciton and they should get going soon. Very helpful person I spoke to. Thank you very much. I have been buying Kefir from here for years now.
