We have had some problems with the link supplied in our confirmation emails in that is took guests too far and missed out the page with the instructions on how to pay. This has now been amended and guests are asked to enter the 5 or 6 digit booking reference given on the confirmation email. Possibly this was the reason you struggled with your balance payment.

The Security Deposits are new and were introduced at the beginning of this year. We do give customers the option of paying a non-refundable £18 waiver instead. We have found that the more dogs staying in a property, the longer it takes to clean, which is why we charge per dog rather than a one off fee. This way, if guests only have 1 dog, they only pay once and aren't over charged for cleaning which may not be required.
