Fox Hall
Fox Hall is an eccentric building with an interesting history and has been superbly conserved by the Landmark Trust. The first floor with its gilded decoration provides a touch of glamour. The...

Villa Saraceno
Fabulous house, decent bathrooms. Not too hot inside even on 35° days. Well equipped kitchen to cook for large numbers. Phone signal ok, but would still prefer broadband to fully research the area....

The House of Correction
Lovely Landmark in quiet position tucked away on edge of village. Enjoyed the open space for dining outside in beautiful weather, and dogs loved the occasional brave rabbit appearing from the moat....

Sanders
Sanders is the perfect place to stay if you want to escape from the worries of the world. The air is pure, the birds sing, the house is cool on a hot day and I expect warm on a cold evening. There is...

A disappointing Landmark, rather tired. The kitchen was very dark and we would have loved, on the beautiful sunny days to have had breakfast in the garden, a bench/table would have been wonderful,...

First of 3 Landmarks for this trip. Easily found. Parking guidance unclear as it stated ‘park beside the cottage’ which is impossible, so I parked across the small gate making access with luggage a...

Acerca de The Landmark Trust
We take on historic places in danger and carefully and sensitively restore them. By making them available for holidays, we make sure they can be enjoyed by all, both today and for future generations. We have in our care nearly 200 buildings in Britain, several in Italy and France and one in Belgium. Though they range from the sober to the spectacular, all our buildings are rich in history and atmosphere. They include picturesque pavilions and medieval long-houses, artillery forts and Gothick follies, clan chiefs’ castles and cotton weavers’ cottages, the homes of great writers and the creations of great architects, from Browning to Boswell, from Pugin to Palladio.
