The work was not executed on the day agreed, despite continued requests we received no receipt for payment of the £50 deposit. We recieved no written confirmation of the verbal quotation and the whole thing became a farce. When the fitter was a no show on the agreed morning, another turned up the following day believing he was there to provide us with a quotation. He further admitted to not being able to have carried out a dish installation anyway, even if requested because he did not have a signal strength meter?? The installation was carried out by the first engineer who quoted (very pleasant individual), but while he had a signal strength meter he clearly did not have a spirit level to mount the pole vertically nor cap for the top. As for the final cost; its for the reader to judge if they think just short of £500 is a good price to supply and install a satellite dish on the barge board of a bungalow and connect it to the shot gun cable I had installed and routed. Trading Standards should be looking at the administration of these installations. Would not recommend, at no point did it feel like we had any relationship with this company nor recourse following installation. The request for the final payment was made over the enginneers phone minutes after completing, I was being asked to provide my card details again to a company with whom I had nothing more than verbal contact. It even operates under at least three different trading names.
