Good Afternoon, Thank you for your email. I'm sorry to hear that your case has been damaged after its first use. All of our cases are rigorously tested to ensure that they will withstand a normal amount of force. We only use reliable high performance materials to ensure durability and they are checked for resistance to extreme temperature, stress and abrasion. Unfortunately cases can be mishandled whilst travelling and if a case is faced with excessive force then unfortunately any case, however strong will not be able to retain its shape. Whilst we are confident with the materials and design of our products, how luggage is handled by the baggage handlers is beyond our control. We would of course be willing to have a look at the case should you wish to take it to a Debenhams store with a Tripp concession so that this can be confirmed as it's difficult to know without seeing the case in person.
