Although it is a deciduous hedge, Purple Beech hedging will retain some of its beautiful autumnal foliage during the winter. I have sent you an email to see how the plants are doing, if any have not recovered please reply to my email and I can arrange for replacements to be sent to you. Lavender is a beautiful, fragrant evergreen shrub. From May onwards they will produce flowers that will attract lots of butterflies and bees. Privet is a semi-evergreen, which means the plants may lose some or all their leaves during a very chilly winter. As discussed on our call I have arranged for another Hawthorn to be sent out to you, and this way you will have a healthy plan in your garden. Hawthorn is a native, deciduous species, so your plants will have lost their leaves during winter, but they will now have burst back into leaf and will have flowered and will eventually produce berries. I hope your Dog Rose are now settling into their new home. Dog Rose is a hardy, native plant. As it is deciduous it will have lost its leaves over autumn/winter, and in spring you will see lots of healthy green leaves push through and in summer they will produce pink and white flowers that will attract lots of butterflies 🦋 and bees 🐝 and after flowering you will see rosehip fruits appear that will feed lots of hungry birds 🐦.
