In autumn the leaves turn brown when the plants become dormant for the winter. The plants hold onto these leaves and now the growing season has begun lots of healthy green leaves will have pushed through. Hi Ben, Lovely to speak to you and thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry you received some poor quality Photinia plants and were unable to sue them. As discussed on our call I have arranged a refund for those. I do hope your client is pleased with the rest of their new hedge. Photinia Red Robin hedging has stunning red foliage which looks amazing with the deep green of the older leaves. They also produce clusters of delicate white flowers in spring. Privet is a semi-evergreen, which means the plants may lose some or all their leaves during a very chilly winter.
