Thankyou for providing feedback, Concerned by your comments, I have spoken to the Engineer who initially took this call and he tells me that, at the time you contacted us, we ran some remote diagnostics and advised that your PC's configuration was unfortunately not suitable for running SOLIDWORKS. We advised that this was due to it having a Consumer/Gaming Graphics Card installed instead of a compatible Workstation/CAD card. SOLIDWORKS work with specific Graphic Card Vendors to test & certify Cards/Drivers for compatibility against SOLIDWORKS. These are all 'Workstation' Cards however as 'Consumer Cards', due to the different technologies used in these two environments (DirectX and OpenGL) are not fully capable of supporting the features of 3D CAD and as such, an incompatible Card or uncertified Driver is in fact the most common reason for instability in SOLIDWORKS. I understand that the Engineer didn't stop at this however and dug a little deeper, identifying some additional 'conflicts' in the operating system advising that you should repair one of the Windows OS components (.Net4) in an attempt to address this, and hopefully improve the stability of the PC at the same time.
