Thanks for the feedback, we would like to operate more car sailings during the winter but we refit each of our ships between November and March. With only two ships available there has to be a gap of 90 minutes between departures. Red Jet wise, there is little difference between the summer and winter timetable. All traffic movements in the Solent are controlled by the port authorities and very occasionally we have to wait for other vessels before sailing.
Only critisism is the directions to the departure point at East Cowes, difficult to navigate in the dark, could be better signage on entry to the town i.e. before you hit the roundabout
Ferry's are on time, staff very efficient, Ferry's clean and when noisy children/teenagers try to run amok they are dealt with very well by the on board staff.
Overall satisfied with RF. However, when discounts are given by RF such as 20% off when booking 4 days or more then those with travel cards are not awarded any further incentives having only their...

Almost always a good service, even when busy - but not always. travelling to island in the run up to Bestival check in at Southampton was astoundingly slow (the worst I have ever known in 5 years of travelling almost every week), causing tailbacks and congestion into the Southampton roads system. When I queried why there were only 2 of the 3 check-in lanes in use I was told that was a 'management decision'. In contrast, E Cowes terminal provided excellent, efficient service on the Monday after Bestival
