The toilets were not working and had been out of action for some time.
It was quite disgusting frankly.
Why was more not done .
They were out of action apparently for 2 or three crossings.

Normally we would have taken the ship out of service but unfortunately with Red Osprey in refit it would have meant cancelling her sailings and causing even more inconvenience. The ships engineers in conjunction with external contractors were working throughout to rectify the problem which requires the dismantling of quite a lot of pipework. We do apologise for the inconvenience to guests.

Note your excuses.However, it is not good enough.
The ship was a disgrace and should not have been in use.
The hygiene levels in the toilets was truly shocking
Red Funnel owe those poor people travelling some redress.
Information about the problems was nil.
I am sure that any animals being moved by ship would get better treatment by law.
Don't your passengers deserve better?
First time for a long time on Red Funnel, will travel again with them. The vessel was clean tidy and the staff where a credit to themselves and the company.
Awful Phillipino Karaoke wailing the whole crossing, Hopeless disembarkation process at Cowes. No toilets or cafe facilities on return crossing.

We do sincerely apologise for this, unfortunately regulations prohibit the sale of Food & Beverage items if toilets are unavailable. The has been an unprecedented problem which normally would have resulted in withdrawing the ship for repairs. However, with Red Osprey in refit we were unable to do this without cancelling sailings which would have caused huge delays. We will be contacting all affected customers separately by email over the next 7 days with an offer of compensation.
Price better than Wightlink but could be cheaper, But normaly the service is very good but Seating is insufficient for the amount of passengers on a busy sailing and no catering as toilets were...

In the meantime, your comments about onboard announcements etc will be passed to our F&B Manager for attention. Please be assured that your experience falls a long way short of our usually high service standards and so we will be contacting all affected customers separately by email over the next 7 days with an offer of compensation.

I use Red Funnel often, haven't had cause to complain once. Nice work!
Very busy crossing not enough seats although we had one. Not enough ladies toilets too.

Very expensive in the summer, more offers for regular customers would be good tends to put off holidaymakers. How about cheaper for 2 people in a car than 6!
