I see that you were able to get through to my colleague in chat. Unfortunately, the information provided to you was correct. You may want to explore what options you have with your travel insurance, if you do not want to proceed with the booking as planned.

I do understand your frustration with this situation, I was more referring to the ground elements of your booking. If you are able to obtain a refund from the airline, we would pass it on to you. Please update this in manage my booking once you confirm the airline will be sending a refund.

Hello Peter, thank you for reaching out to us further with regards to this matter. With regards to your airline refund, our finance department has been notified to expect these monies, so as soon as they are received you will be refunded the amount immediately. At the moment unfortunately due to the unprecedented demand of requests in this respect airlines are experiencing, we do not wish to create unrealistic expectations by being able to give a time frame for when we will likely receive this refund. What I can advise is that in some cases it is taking up to 90 days or longer for refunds to reach back to us at present. I do acknowledge that it must be very testing and frustrating to wait upon monies due to you. To further clarify on this, although it may take a shorter time for the refund from the airline to processed, it does take a longer period of time to reach back to us, which is unfortunately completely beyond our control.
