I wasn’t told the company did not use smart meters, I have to climb a stepladder in the garage to read mine. At 74yrs I should not have to do this, I wasn’t told that they would not take my FIT meter...

We can see you joined us via a switching service who should have confirmed this to you, we apologise on their behalf if they do not provide you the correct information. One of our agents will give you a call to discuss this further as we can add you to our Priority Service Register for your meters to be read every 3 months to save you the trouble of doing this yourself. We certainly do not want any of our customers putting themselves at risk to get a meter reading when we have suitable help in place. Thank you, Utility Point.
