Very sorry to hear that we could not supply the one pair you wanted. Sadly it would be an impossible task to get in touch with every customer when an item is discontinued with a supplier, to see if they would like an alternative item. We have tried to implement this, but by the time we received a reply the alternative may be unavailable or the delivery would have been too late for the item that was in stock. Also the majority of people did not reply at all which in turn held up the entire order. This is a good point. Sadly with mail order, you do not have the advantage of being able to try the goods on before you buy them. Think of how many people go for a different size after trying on a pair in a shoe shop and you can imagine the problems.
