Oh dear! Sounds as if you were expecting something a little less like a well-trodden 'family home' and something a bit more polished. It can be hard going from one style and standard of property to another. Dalvey has certainly had more investment spent on it recently and is, as you point out, a grade above the other, as depicted in the picture galleries. The price does reflect this difference, as Burgie works out at £132 per person per week, as opposed to £150 per person for Dalvey at the same time of year. I can see however one might get the impression Burgie cost more as it’s a much larger property, but when you break the total rent down per head - it is in fact cheaper. Yours is the first poor review we've had of Burgie in ten years.

Many people love the ease of mind a 'shabby chic' environment presents and prefer it to somewhere that might require a little more overall care, however, I do recognise it's horses for courses and not everyone’s cup of tea. I'm just so sorry you felt disappointed.

However, in light of your feedback, I will certainly look at our descriptions to see if there’s anything more we can add to avoid any future disappointment.
