Thank you for your feedback. I can see your correspondence with our team and am confident that although the young bare root plants may look dead, they will in fact be fine. Bare roots do take longer to come into leaf than pots because they are putting their energy into establishing a root system rather than putting on new growth. Also, some species will take longer than others. It is very normal for them not to come into leaf until at least the end of May. Obviously, should you have a further problem with them we will of course resolve this for you. In regard to the brown spots on the holly, again this is a common issue which is down to the winter weather. Evergreen plants hold onto their foliage all winter, which means that they can take a battering for cold wind and rain.
