Hawthorn is a native, deciduous species, so your plants will have lost their leaves during winter, but they will now have burst back into leaf and will have flowered and will eventually produce berries. Yew is a slow growing evergreen conifer that produces red berries during the autumn that will attract hungry birds. And Western Red Cedar is also a beautiful evergreen conifer 🌲. Hi, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am sorry to hear you are concerned about one of the Golden Privet you received. Hopefully now it is in the ground and benefitting from the nutrients and moisture in the soil it will have picked up. If it doesn't please don't worry as your plants are covered by our 12 month plant guarantee, so please do keep in touch with us. Golden Privet is a semi-evergreen, which means the plants may lose some or all their leaves during a very cold winter. Lots of new leaves will push through again in spring and in summer they will produce creamy/white flowers that will attract lots of butterflies and bees. Your new plants will really brighten up your garden with their yellow and green variegated leaves and extra wildlife should hopefully be coming into your garden soon. During the spring they produce tiny white flowers that are popular with butterflies and bees and during winter they produce small red berries that hungry birds love.
