Your Laurels will knit together to create a beautiful dense evergreen hedge. During the spring they produce tiny white flowers that are popular with butterflies and bees and during winter they produce small red berries that hungry birds love. Hi, Thank you for leaving us 5 stars ⭐and I hope your Blackthorn are enjoying their new garden. Blackthorn is a native, deciduous species, so your plants will have lost their leaves during winter, but they will now have burst back into leaf and will have flowered and will eventually produce berries. Hi, Thank you so much for leaving your review. Its lovely to hear how pleased you are with your plants. You have chosen a wonderful mixture of species and I hope they are enjoying their new surroundings. Cotinus Coggyria ‘Royal Purple’ is a deciduous shrub with gorgeous deep purple foliage. In the Summer amazing pink flowers flourish and this is where the alternative name of ‘Smoke Bush’ comes from. Viburnum Tinus are unusual as they are winter-flowering. So, the white flowers will bring so much colour to your garden over the winter months, right through until spring. Beech looks wonderful all year round. In autumn the leaves turn brown when the plants become dormant for the winter. The plants hold onto these leaves and now the growing season has begun lots of healthy green leaves will have pushed through. Rowan are not just loved by humans but the masses of berries in autumn will feed hungry birds. And Guelder Rose will produce clusters of white flowers in the summer months and striking red leaves and luscious red berries in the autumn. The Leylandii is an extremely fast growing, evergreen conifer hedge 🌲, that can grow up to 90cm per year and are perfect for extra privacy and screening and they can provide cover for a variety of wildlife. Privet is a semi-evergreen, which means the plants may lose some or all their leaves during a very chilly winter.
