Linen is a fantastic yarn for towels, offering higher absorbency than cotton and being more environmentally friendly. However, it is naturally prone to shedding. The shedding is part of the natural process as the fibres soften over time, and it doesn't affect the towel's performance. A few cold washes can help speed up this process.
