Hi Gavin, Thanks for getting back to us. Noise is a difficult thing to describe, we do our best by comparing it to other products, but unfortunately, different brands sound different too. If you set you set your fridge to zero, it will cycle between 0 - 4 and keep your drinks at 2. The power consumption is also on the listing. I will give you a call to troubleshoot shortly.
