Hassle free crossing, staff very friendly and accommodating when I showed up earlier than my booking, clean, tidy and comfortable.

All good apart from price and no cash policy.
I would say the journey is totally over priced for sure. Also not being able to spend cash at any point on wightlinks service is a disgrace.

Hello there, My apologies that you feel this way. I am sorry you find the fare prices too high. Keep an eye on our 'offers' tab on our website for ideas on ways to save. I would also recommend to sign up for our newsletter, if you haven't already done so, to keep up to date with all of our latest offers which may help bring the cost down. Like many other companies, we took the decision to go cashless as part of many changes we had to make to adapt our services whilst we continued to operate during the pandemic. We will continue to take card only payments as we have found that this has had a substantial impact on our service. Thank you for your feedback on this. I do hope you will choose to travel with us again soon.

Terrible service, greedy monopoly exploiting islanders
Terrible. The ferry over did not connect with the London train, I had to sit and wait 40 minutes missing the 05 by 5 minutes, then coming back to the IW the ferry’s are so sparse I had to wait...

Hello, I am very sorry that you feel this way. We do not advertise any of our services as travel connections because of the difficulties involved. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide good connections with all rail services, as there are trains operating from Ryde Pier as well as Portsmouth, with arrival times and departure times on both sides important for travel connections. At peak times there are services arriving at Portsmouth Harbour on average more frequently than every 10 minutes, with bus connections and connections with the international port also important to passengers. Once again, my apologies for this however, your feedback has been noted as we continue to look for ways we can improve our service.

Rip off and late so called service
£40 for a foot passenger return is very excessive, but to top it all off the first catermeran of the day was 10 minutes late on a flat calm day ,so I missed the connecting train , not impressed.

We do appreciate the frustration caused when delays happen however, the safety of our customers and crew is our highest priority and our teams work extremely hard to not delay the service further. With regards to the pricing, we use Flexi-Pricing, which means that prices for a particular crossing may increase in line with demand for that crossing. Our fares also reflect the cost of running our service (which is not subsided). The sooner you book, the more likely you are to pay a lower fare and fares will generally get higher the closer you get to the sailing date, particularly during busier times. Once again, I would like to thank you for sharing this as we continue to look for ways we can improve our service.

Hello there and thank you for your feedback. My apologies that you were unable to book your preffered sailing. We would always advise to try and book far in advance where possible to avoid disappoint. In quieter times, it is not normally an issue getting the times you would like. As we are now approaching busier times, we do sail more often but we also become fully booked a lot sooner. Unfortunately, Amex is not accepted in our retail outlets as the costs are too high however, your feedback is appreciated and has been noted. I can see you used a discount for this booking which did take the price down however, we would also advise that as an island resident, you can apply for a MyLink card through our website.
