Thank you for your feedback. The cost per passenger/vehicle kilometre with Red Funnel is generally competitive with many UK & European short-sea routes, some of which are subsidised. Fares are cheaper if you can book ahead and avoid the popular sailing times but we appreciate this is not always possible. We are currently putting the Red Falcon in for a refit, which will be completed by Easter 2014. This will increase the seating capacity as well as improve the facilities Customer Services
