It is true the Portuguese Way is more rustic than the traditional French Way and sometimes to keep the original route one must walk along some roads however it is a nice route for people looking to experience a different Camino. The Friends of St James Association in Galicia have recently created an alternative route accessing O Porrino to avoid part of the trail that follows the road. We hope you enjoyed the trip!
