We booked 3 holidays for you so far, two just this year, glad that we are getting it right. Yes you are right, there are just a couple of route notes that come in a different format and this is the case for this holiday. We will be reviewing this for next year. It sounds like that you had a good holiday despite the challenging walking, although we have walkers of many ages and of varying degrees of fitness we do try to match the level of walking to the clients capabilities as best as possible. Thank your for your positive response to our services, yes I do believe that you have a point about some of the hotels being a little distance from the towns and I understand that Liz has already spoken to you regarding this. It could also be said of course that some of our clients prefer the quiet and remote locations of the hotels but of course this would only work if the hotel is booked on a half board basis. For hotels that do not have a restaurant, then town locations are indeed essential. Lorna

Thank your for your positive feedback on our service and your helpful feedback regarding hotels and restaurants. Yes we are aware that hotel Robinson has had a few less than positive comments this year and we will be reassessing the hotel before we commit to using it for next year. In past years this has been a lovely hotel, with a good reputation for food and very friendly staff so we do hope that they will once again return to this standard very soon. Regarding restaurants, I think that we just need to let clients be aware that Sunday and Monday restaurants openings are always limited in France, maybe we need should make this clearer and give a list of possibilities in each town when accommodations are booked as BB only. So glad that you enjoyed the holiday and found the route easy to navigate, so much so that even the maps were unnecessary. The St Jacques de Compostelle is indeed a very well walked and signposted route but we like to give maps too as some people like to refer to these. Sorry that you had to ask for the Guardian discount, though it is normally the case that the discount code has to be quoted at the time of booking. Unfortunately we had to book the sister hotel in Nasbinals due to lack of availability, we do hope that this did not spoil the holiday in any way and hope that you come back to us next year to book the 2nd stage. Such a shame that the restaurant Buisson Ardent did not remember that we had paid in advance for your meal. I hope that you have now received the refund in the post. The Chocolatier tour and private guide sounds wonderful and such a great activity especially for the children. Lorna
