The service was appallingly bad and in particular around the proof of no claims. This information should be obtainable by Shield. Eventually I had to simulate cancellation of my private car policy...

We are very sorry that there was a protracted delay in receiving your proof of no claims from your previous insurer. Once this arrived with us, it took slightly longer than acceptable to enter this onto our system. We thank you for the feedback and this has been passed onto the team leader concerned who has contacted you to explain.
