Thank you for the feedback. Yes, sadly we can't really put name tags for the birds around their necks as it really doesn't work well at all. Of course, anyone can do that at home if they wish. It's also true that the bird and Dinky Duck tags are very small, and they are certainly a 'marmite' call for collectors. Some love the tag on the foot as f they've been marked by their owner... whereas others prefer to see the whole bird, with the copper feet. If you, or anyone else takes off a tag, then later decides they want one - we're happy to send one in the mail, with our compliments. Hopefully that helps keep the smiles for longer! Sorry to hear about your views on the name tag - if you ever have a query like that in the future, please let us know and we'd be happy to replace ASAP or refund if that's preferred. Sounds like a rare glitch with the printing process, as the cotton backed carded tags are usually very clear and neat. There should be no difference with random/surprise or personalised names either, as we'd like all customers to have the same fab experience. Thank you again.
