We understand your concern regarding the timescales involved in creating your Lasting Powers of Attorney. These can be complex legal documents, and it is imperative that we get this right for you, based on your personal circumstances and requirements. Once you are happy with the final draft, approval and signatures are required from both yourselves, and your proposed attorneys. After we receive these back from the attorneys, the documents are sent to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration. The entire process typically takes 5-6 months to complete. Although this is stated in our client care letter to you, we are sorry if this was not communicated clearly. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through each necessary step to ensure everything is handled correctly.
