Apologies for this! We support many DD-WRT features that pertain to VPN and wireless setups however VM has more to do with your computer than the router itself, which does not fall under our supported features.

Apologies for this issue! Keep in mind that connecting to VPN and encrypting your entire network will always result in some speed loss. It is best to connect to the VPN server closest to your actual location in the country that you desire for ideal speeds. With regards to the dropped connections and poor range perhaps it is a good idea to upgrade the firmware of the router: https://support.flashrouters.com/setup-guides/dd-wrt-features/i-want-to-upgrade-the-dd-wrt-firmware-of-my-flashrouter/

it was a little tricky to set up for a beginner, but their customer service is pretty great and once i got the hang of it- with the help of a 1 on 1, everything has worked perfectly!
