Hi Tracey, Thank you for your time on the phone the other day. We are glad that we were able to discuss your concerns over the phone and explain that the wood you have received this time was predominantly a denser species of hardwood than we had previously had in stock. The denser species logs do require a bit more to light than the Ash that we had in before, so this can lead people to believe that the logs are perhaps not the same quality as before, when in fact, because they are more dense, they should give you a longer and hotter burn when the fire is set up correctly. Please get back in touch should you have any further questions and feel free to re-review if your opinion has changed following this information. Kind regards, Hayleigh
