Hi Terri, it was a pleasure to guide you on the Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites this September. It is indeed a challenging trek as all our treks are which is why we all need to be prepared for the challenge we have signed up for. It would be financially impossible to have two guides allocated for a group of 8 people, therefore, I think it was the right decision to miss the final two days which enabled the group to move more cohesively and safely. We do offer privately guided treks which would enable us to tailor make a trek to suit your personal needs, perhaps something to bear in mind for your next challenge. Kind regards as always, Sara
