Firstly, i am unable to go into any specific detail about the policy on the public domain due to data protection regulation so im afraid my response will be somewhat vague but i can contact you directly with more detail if required. I have reviewed the call in question and it seems that you were looking online for a quote and mentioned the price had gone up since the last time you took a policy out with us. This is because your previous policy was purchased through a price comparison website. You asked the advisor if you were better off using the price comparison website again and because this is a non advised sale - meaning we are unable to provide any direct advice or recommendation - the advisor clarified that you are certainly able to if thats what you decide, or you can proceed with obtaining a quote through Leisure Guard directly. Having reviewed the call, im afraid i dont agree that the situation is exactly as described in the review comments, but im pleased to see that you were able to proceed with your purchase. I apologise for the terminology. To explain non advised sale another way, its not a case of no effort to help you, simply that our way of operating is that we would provide as much information as possible for you to make your own informed decision on how to proceed and which policy to purchase. I also completely agree with your comments. If a customer calls Leisure Guard directly, then yes we will be able to facilitate the sale of an insurance policy thats right for them, but by the above guidelines. It seems to be the question of price difference from the last time you took out a policy that led to the conversation of price comparison websites. The advisor you spoke to then explained that Leisure Guard products are available on price comparison websites but wouldn't have been able to advise you either way on how best to proceed i.e via that route or with Leisure Guard direct. Of course, i am grateful that you have decided to place your business with Leisure Guard but we would only supply enough information about the products available for you to make your own informed decision, not by our advisors offering opinion or advice either way.
