Please be aware that the slats on a wooden venetian blind are not designed to fully close. They will shut but with a minimal gap in between. With the holes in the slats for the cords, this can lead to minimal light bleed too. In order to minimise this and operate correctly, it is best to shut the blind so that the slats face downwards on the inside.
