In the Fall after harvest, all Seed Potatoes must go through a dormancy period of 4-8 weeks before they will sprout and grow. To hasten sprouting keep seed tubers at room temp (70-75oF) and in the dark. Once sprouts begin to emerge from the eyes, you have your proof that the tubers have emerged from dormancy. At this point they are growing and are ready to plant outside in the garden. All the best! Jim
