As discussed, the issue you had with our service was that the desired deadline to exchange contracts within 4 weeks of the sale being agreed was not met. We sold your property for a good price to a cash buyer, when your previous agent had failed to do so after more than 5 months of marketing. Contracts were exchanged within 8 weeks. Although this is still far quicker than the length of the average transaction, we appreciate that this was outside of your desired timescale and again apologise for any inconvenience caused. As you know, our buyer was an employee of a local corporate estate agent and he was determined to use their recommended solicitor due to the discount he would receive. We strongly advised against this, due to the numerous poor experiences we have had with this company. Towards the end of the transaction, our buyer repeatedly apologised to you and to us for the delays caused by his solicitor. We chased relentlessly throughout the transaction and progressed it as quickly as we could, but ultimately the issues were down to the poor service and communication from Countrywide Property Lawyers. Regardless of this, we are sorry that your experience of selling was not more positive, and we wish you the very best for the future.
