I appreciate your frustrations, as you mentioned due to the issues with the bottom of the chain which involved a sale of a leasehold shared ownership flat with ‘online’ conveyancers acting for both links, but despite out best efforts and relentless chasing we were having to rely on 2nd party information from 4 links down the chain which was out of our control. As you know solicitors were instructed on the 16th October and we exchanged contracts on the 19th January which is an average length of time for a transaction to take place (bearing in mind solicitors shut for Christmas).
We feel the cause of the problems were due to the poor communication and service from Direction Law where the solicitor was absent, uncontactable or only able to provide unreliable updates which we relayed to you on a regular basis.
Regardless of this I can only apologise again for your stressful experience and that we have not met our high standards of service on this occasion. I would like to wish you all the best for the future in your new home.Kind Regards,Chris & The Team
