Thank you for your feedback. Our Production Manager has taken a look at your photos and there are a few reasons your logs look different this year compared to last year. One reason is because they are different species and another is the shape that the logs have been cut in. Following the devastating fire we had last year, we no longer have the ability to process and dry logs ourselves so we have been working with suppliers from across the UK and Europe. We moisture test everything that comes in to check the quality, so this new batch of logs should burn just as well as previously deliveries. For future reference, it may be worth noting that, we will now be offering crates of logs as a full time option. These crates are hand stacked and there are single species options to choose from. Our bulk bags are loose filled so, in comparison, the logs in crates do look neater and this could provide the aesthetics you are looking for in your logs.
