It's great to hear that you enjoyed your Cruise & Walk holiday to the Canaries. Regarding the cost of the drinks package arrangement, as a tour operator we buy an allocation of cabins at a special rate from Fred. Olsen for our ship-based walking holidays. To this we attach a guided walking programme, local transport and the services of a tour leader to create our own (great value) holiday product rather than simply a cruise where excursions and other benefits are at additional cost. A part of our contract with the cruise line specifies that the drinks package is available at £20 per person per day which we then offer at cost to those wishing to take advantage of it. Although this drinks package cost may be higher than when booking directly with the cruise line, you are likely to have benefitted from a much reduced cabin rate when booking your holiday package.
