Hi Theresa, Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that the gold plating on your ring has started to wear away. Gold plating can naturally wear over time, and exposure to substances such as perfume, creams, hairspray, cleaning products, chlorine and other chemicals can cause the plating to fade or wear more quickly. We recommend removing plated jewellery before bathing, swimming, exercising or applying beauty products, and storing it carefully when not being worn. However, if you have been caring for your ring as recommended and the plating has still worn away sooner than expected, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0800 6444 655 so we can look into this further for you.
