book online the holiday cost me £800 But place to booking over the phone just in to confirm booking then i was quoted £1100
paid the money all paperwork was sent by e-mail then when i try to find the fight online was unable to find it call them and they told me my holiday has been cancelled then they ask for even more money to go to another destination i did not receive all the paperwork for the new holiday was not informed about the changes

Our website is very clear that the costs are not live and subject to change on confirmation. You would have been given every opportunity to decline the new costs and no money would have been taken. The cancellation of the flight booked was received from the airline 2 months after our original confirmation and all alternatives, including a refund, were offered. You chose to amend the destination and travel as booked thereafter. This is a matter over which we have no control as we do not own the airline. According to the recordings on your booking you were aware of all the changes and received all documentation in March. No interim enquiry was made prior to departure in August and if any issues arose we would have, reasonably, expected a call or email at that time.

wow first communication i received from holiday gems in 6 months
Ok here we go flights cost £600 holiday gems £800 hotel booking cost£300 holiday gems price £450 extra bag holiday Gems price £51 easyjet price £42 bought an extra bag on the way back £21 easy jet confirm to me all my prices with easy jet app and it over the phone i am unsure about this live price Thing was not sent my Atol certificate i was not sent a receipt I was offered a refund was told it could take up to a month as they have to file a insurance Claim with the airlines to get my money back

The only negative thing is the web site is not up to date, and when you go to book, the holiday ends up costing a lot more than advertised, by the time you get through you just want to get the booking over and done with. I have used Holiday Gems several times and this has always happened. Website not truthful, but sales staff very good, as it is them, at the end of the day that takes the flack..

Thank you for your very positive comments regarding our sales staff. We are most disappointed though, that you found the order process less than acceptable. The website is very clear that the costs are not live and subject to change on confirmation. Our suppliers/airlines and brokers feed the website through 'cached' information and any delay or inaccuracies is a matter over which we have no control. We do, however, look forward to welcoming you back to book future holidays.
