I am so sorry to hear that your starter is not working. I have however checked and this item was sent out 2 months ago and we do not have any record of you contacting us to let us know that there was an issue. Generally with the live cultures they are very environmental so usually it just needs a quick tweak of the feeding or brewing method to get everything working again. Where starters fail to activate (rare but it can happen as these are live bacterial cultures) we will always replace the culture. If you contact our customer services team they will arrange for a replacement for you.

We did accidently send your goods out on the wrong postal service, we apologised profusely and refunded the shipping fee immediately however 1 extra day in the post is not going to make a product with a best before date of 2026 unusable. We did explain this.
We did not refuse a refund, we were always happy to refund the goods but you refused to return them.I am not sure why you did not want to return it. You took your case to Paypal who also offered rejected your claim they did offer you a full refund on return of the goods but again you did not want to return it, you wanted to keep the £40 order and get a refund because it was 1 day late. As a small business that is not sustainable.
I am so sorry that we made the initial error and sent it on the wrong postal service, We did try our best to offer alternatives directly to yourself and via paypal but you only wanted a full refund so we were unable to help.

Yes we did send it on the wrong postal service (you booked a 1-2 day DPD delivery and we sent it on a 2 day Royal Mail service). This was our mistake and we apologised and fully refunded all shipping charges for the error however this is the UK and it has been the coldest summer in decades so 1 extra day in the post is not going to compromise the viability of the product. If it was that sensitive we would not be able to sell it.
We did offer and exchange or a return for a full refund but you wanted to keep the goods and receive a full refund. As we are a small business that is not sustainable so we were unable to help.
