Thanks for the review Patricia. It sounds like you had a headwind at times which is a shame and definitely makes the going  a bit tougher. Glad you made it round though and were able to appreciate the lovely scenery.

Oh dear, sorry to read all this and thank you for the feedback.

It is sometimes possible to arrange bike delivery to the hotel for larger groups of cyclists and I presume that was the case with the Dutch party.

The route notes have recently been reviewed for this tour but in light of your comments I will ask our local supplier to re-check the sections you mention.

I'm glad Ally was able to resolve the issue with the hotel in Salzburg to your satisfaction.

Many thanks for the feedback Christine and in light of your comments we have decided to suspend further sales of this tour while we discuss scope for improvement with our local supplier. Romania is a wonderful country and we'd love to continue to offer this route but if the roads are too poorly maintained and busy for enjoyable cycling then we'll have to consider removing it from our programme until things improve.

Many thanks for the review. We were disappointed that you found the bikes to be too small and heavy. Measurements provided by our customers are used to calculate frame sizes and this process has until now been 100% accurate. The bikes used on these tours are specifically designed and built for the job in hand and while there are lighter models available, the frames used provide the best combination of strength, durability and weight.

So sorry about the first night issue. It was very unfortunate that the hotel you and your group were booked into had to close at very short notice. We were glad that we were able to accommodate you all in an alternative hotel of a very good standard albeit some distance away from Cesky Krumlov.
