Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I’m really sorry to hear about what you’ve been through - we understand how stressful and upsetting an unexpected vet bill can be, especially when you’ve been paying premiums for some time. We referred your claim's to the underwriter following information we had received from your veterinary practice and the policyholder, we only do so when we believe the policy terms and conditions haven’t been met. Our cover does exclude certain breeds and crossbreeds, and in some cases we may request a DNA test to confirm a dog’s breeding before we can proceed this is also confirmed in your Policy Wording. This is to make sure we are treating all customers consistently and fairly, in line with the policy wording you agreed to at the start of the policy. That said, we completely appreciate how disappointing this outcome is for you, a complaint will be raised for you and we will acknowledge this in the next 3-5 working days. If you’d like us to explain in more detail how the decision was reached, please contact us via telephone or email and we’ll be happy to review this and talk things through with you.
